So I was just sitting here thinking.... I call myself an author and I am, technically, I have a book on Kindle. I also have three stories in progress, which are currently being trumped by life. I.e., I can't seem to find sufficient time to write anymore due to the pressures of everyday living.
When I work, it's overnight and that throws everything out of kilter. My daughter takes a lot of my attention and I can't get any writing done while watching her (she just turned three). i also have the entire house to take care of as my wife works, my step-daughter goes to school and works and my step-son is only able to do so much.
I love writing and I can't imagine not writing at all, but I can't seem to find the balance.

Hey Aaron. Hope things are going well? Well, as opposed to how they were going when you wrote this post. Still pretty busy with life are we? - Zoe Dune
Hey Aaron,
Welcome to the club (your dues are already paid). All of us creative types, who also have to provide for others (rent/mortgage, food, etc.) lack time. At my last job, we had 3-day weekends, so I could set one day aside for creativity, but that's gone, now. Two hours more on work days just doesn't get it.
What we have to do is work out a block of time to produce the bare minimum of work to maintain the title. A song writer has to produce a song a week (Well, that just kills me!), and a writer has to produce a certain number of pages a week. But keep after it, my friend, and don't give up. You've got the talent, now produce!
